Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Ludhiana for a Junior School Head at Mahapragya Gurukul. The Junior School Head will oversee the day-to-day operations of the junior school, including managing academic programs, mentoring teaching staff, and ensuring an engaging and supportive learning environment. Responsibilities include curriculum planning, monitoring classroom activities, promoting co-curricular programs, fostering collaboration among staff, and engaging with parents to address their concerns and feedback. The Junior School Head will also work to uphold the school's mission, values, and commitment to holistic education while maintaining high standards of learning and discipline.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and school administration skills, with the ability to manage staff, resources, and activities effectively.
- Experience in curriculum planning, classroom oversight, and developing co-curricular programs to enhance holistic learning.
- Proficiency in communication, mentoring, and conflict resolution to build positive relationships with staff, students, and families.
- Knowledge of the Gurukul tradition, mindfulness-based education principles, and contemporary teaching practices is an advantage.
- Passion for guiding young minds and fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field is required; a postgraduate degree or equivalent teaching qualification is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in a leadership role within a primary or junior school setting is preferred.
