Job description: Junior Retail Experience Designer
Location: Yelahanka, Bangalore
About The Gig
We are seeking a Junior Retail Experience Designer to support the design team in developing and documenting retail environments. The primary responsibility will be assisting in the preparation, coordination, and review of CAD drawings, while also supporting the team in 3D modeling and visualizations.
This role suits someone early in their career who is eager to develop strong technical skills while growing into the creative aspects of retail experience design, including graphic design, prototyping, and concept development.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the preparation, review, and coordination of CAD drawings for retail spaces, store layouts, and fixtures.
- Support the team in producing accurate technical documentation and spatial layouts.
- Develop 3D models and visualizations using tools such as SketchUp or Rhino.
- Assist in preparing design presentations and visual communication materials.
- Support basic prototyping, mock-ups, and design development tasks when required.
- Collaborate with the design team to translate concepts into technical drawings and spatial solutions.
- Participate in site visits, installations, and project coordination when necessary.
What You Bring
- Degree or diploma in Retail Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Spatial Design, or related field.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling software such as SketchUp or Rhino.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with technical drawings and documentation.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Portfolio Requirements
Candidates should submit a portfolio demonstrating both technical and creative abilities, including:
- CAD drawings or technical documentation.
- 3D models or spatial design work.
- At least one graphic design project showcasing skills in layout, typography, branding, or visual communication.
- Work that reflects curiosity across multiple design disciplines, such as retail, spatial, graphic, or industrial design.
- Evidence of experimentation, prototyping, or concept development is a plus.

- Curious and open to learning about retail experience, graphic design, and prototyping.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to develop and expand creative capabilities.
