Role Description The Junior Resource Person – Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Guindy, Chennai. The role involves supporting the delivery of astronomy and space science programs, assisting in workshops, events, and classroom sessions, and helping learners engage with educational content and resources. The person in this role will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, manage basic library or learning resource materials, and support documentation and record-keeping related to training activities. Daily responsibilities may include interacting with students and educators, responding to queries, guiding participants during hands-on activities, and providing general administrative support to ensure smooth program operations. The role may also involve assisting in outreach initiatives and contributing ideas to enhance learner experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English and the ability to interact confidently with students, educators, and partners.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, support participants during sessions, and ensure a positive learning experience.
- Candidates should possess Library Services or learning resource management skills to organize, maintain, and issue educational materials, equipment, and reference content.
- Candidates should possess Human Resources (HR) support skills, such as basic coordination, documentation, and assistance in onboarding or training logistics.
- Candidates should possess Training support skills to assist in conducting educational sessions, workshops, and demonstrations in astronomy and space science.
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or diploma in science, education, or a related field, with an interest in astronomy and space science.
- Additional beneficial skills include basic computer proficiency, comfort with presentation tools, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
- Previous experience in education, science outreach, or working with children and young learners will be considered an advantage.
Salary Range: 15K to 20K
