Job Profile:
We invite applications from candidates possessing expertise in Agricultural Microbiology
and Plant-Microbe interactions for a “Junior Research Scientist” position within our
company. The selected individual will be tasked with executing and analyzing research
projects focused on microbial consortia and formulation development aimed at enhancing
plant growth and function. Proficiency in microbial biofertilizers, consortia development,
PGPR, and the assessment of their impact on plant growth promotion, along with knowledge
of other biostimulants and specific agricultural practices tailored for different crops, is
essential for the successful completion of the research project. The ideal candidate should
demonstrate the ability to independently carry out and analyze experiments, interpret results,
and contribute significantly to the overall growth of the company.
Educational Qualification:
A preferred candidate will hold a PhD degree in Agriculture with a specialization in
Microbiology, Agricultural Microbiology, coupled with expertise and research experience in
formulation and consortia-related studies. Additional experience in scale-up studies, plant-
microbe interactions and the following will be advantageous.
Familiarity with PGPR/Biofertilizers and understanding their role in promoting
plant growth.
Experience in testing and evaluating the efficacy of Biofertilizers/PGPRs in
agricultural settings.
Ability to design and develop microbial consortia for specific agricultural
applications. Skill in optimizing consortia for enhanced plant growth and soil
health.
Specialised knowledge in the development, formulation, and application of
biofertilizers.
Responsibilities:
Design, set up, execute, and analyze experiments related to microbial consortia and
formulation/product development.
Conduct formulation stability studies, optimize conditions for higher stability.
Develop robust protocols for testing the efficiency of products in improving plant
growth and productivity.
Plan and implement hydroponics, greenhouse, and growth chamber based bioassays.
Demonstrate sound knowledge of experimental designs, statistical analysis, and
proficiency in computational skills for document processing and presentation
preparation.
