Role Description: The Junior Research Fellow (JRF) will support ongoing research projects by conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and assisting in the interpretation of results. Daily responsibilities may include literature review, preparation of research materials, laboratory and/or field work, documentation of methodologies, and maintenance of research records. The JRF will collaborate with senior researchers and project teams, contribute to reports and scientific publications, and participate in project meetings and presentations. This is a full-time, on-site role located in India, requiring regular presence at IARI facilities and research sites. The position offers hands-on experience in agricultural research and opportunities for academic and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Essential: Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in master’s degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC/ICAR in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Seed Science and Technology, Agriculture, Botany, Plant Physiology or relevant basic science. ICAR/CSIR/UGC-NET or equivalent National Level JRF Eligibility Test.
- Desirable: Working knowledge of handling biofertilizers, microbial cultures, chromatographic techniques and data analysis. Good publication record in reputed national/international journals.
