Junior Quality Control (QC) Engineer – PEB

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior QC Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for ensuring that every steel structure we manufacture and erect meets our high-quality standards and client specifications. If you have a sharp eye for detail and experience in the Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) industry, we want to talk to you!
What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
- Material Inspection: Check incoming raw materials (steel plates, coils, bolts) to ensure they meet required grades and standards.
- In-Process Checks: Monitor fabrication stages including cutting, welding, and fit-up to catch errors early.
- Welding Quality: Perform or supervise visual inspections of welds and coordinate NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) like DP or UT tests.
- Painting & Coating: Verify surface preparation and measure DFT (Dry Film Thickness) to ensure long-lasting finish.
- Documentation: Maintain clear QC reports, material test certificates (MTC), and Final Inspection Reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all work follows IS codes and project-specific quality plans.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 3–5 years specifically in PEB or Heavy Structural Steel fabrication.
- Technical Skills: * Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of welding standards and measurement tools (Vernier, Gauges, DFT meters).
- Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Pune.
