The Role: 

The Junior Production Chemist – Cosmetics is responsible for supporting and executing the manufacturing of cosmetic formulations while ensuring compliance with GMP, quality standards, and production procedures. The role involves managing batch processing, documentation, and coordination with quality and warehouse teams to ensure smooth production operations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Execute manufacturing of cosmetic products such as creams, lotions, gels, serums, shampoos, and oils as per approved formulations and SOPs. 

2. Follow Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and maintain accurate production documentation. 

3. Ensure compliance with GMP, hygiene, and safety standards during production activities. 

4. Monitor batch processing, mixing parameters, and product consistency. 

5. Coordinate with QC/QA teams for in-process checks and approvals. 

6. Ensure proper weighing, dispensing, and usage of raw materials as per formulation requirements. 

7. Monitor equipment usage and report maintenance or operational issues. 

8. Assist in process improvements and scale-up activities to enhance production efficiency. 

9. Coordinate with the warehouse and purchase teams for timely availability of raw and packing materials. 

Required Qualification & Experience: 

1. B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry / Cosmetic Science / Pharmacy or related field. 

2. Minimum 2+ years of experience in cosmetic manufacturing or production. 

3. Knowledge of cosmetic formulations, batch processing, and GMP practices. 

4. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and production records. 

5. Good coordination and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
