About the role
This is a high-ownership, documentation-forward role. You'll be embedded in a fast-moving product team and expected to take initiative across planning, written documentation, and research. Your role is to be the operational backbone that captures requirements, maintains artifacts, supports the PDLC, and ensures nothing slips through the cracks. If you're someone who finds satisfaction in clear, well-structured written work and thrives in a support capacity, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Agile planning and sprint support Partner with the PM and engineering team to support sprint planning ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint kickoffs, and grooming.
- Help maintain sprint boards in Jira, track progress against sprint goals, and surface blockers early so the team stays on track.
- Backlog management and ticket hygiene Own day-to-day backlog organization.
- Triage incoming requests with guidance from the PM and ensure tickets are consistently detailed, labeled, and ready for grooming.
- Write clear, well-scoped user stories and bug tickets, including acceptance criteria, dependencies, and relevant context.
- Requirements gathering and documentation Gather business requirements and surface dependencies.
- Translate those inputs into actionable user stories, feature specs, bug tickets, and design tickets that teams can execute on with confidence.
- Roadmap maintenance and timeline updates Keep roadmap documentation current in a fast-moving environment.
- Update timelines, add detail to upcoming items, and capture status changes as priorities shift.
- Flag risks and delays proactively and ensure roadmap artifacts are accurate and accessible.
- Market research and discovery support Assist with proof-of-concept research and discovery workstreams.
- Conduct competitive analysis, benchmark industry trends, and synthesize findings into digestible summaries to inform product decisions.
- PDLC support including grooming, acceptance criteria, and product review Support the full product development lifecycle by facilitating grooming sessions, drafting and refining acceptance criteria, and assisting with product reviews.
- Ensure stories are well-defined and testable before engineering picks them up, and help validate delivered features against acceptance criteria before closing tickets.
- Analytics and experiment support Assist with tracking instrumentation documentation and A/B test setup tickets.
- Help maintain dashboards and reporting artifacts that keep the team informed on feature performance and experiment outcomes.
- Ad hoc project support Assist with lower-lift requests and ad hoc projects as they arise.
- Draft internal documentation, meeting notes, and follow-up summaries to keep work moving between touchpoints.
What we're looking for
- 2-4 years of experience in a product, project management, or operations role. Ideally in ecommerce or a consumer-facing tech environment.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Asana.
- Strong written communication skills. Comfortable writing tickets, specs, and documentation that others can act on.
- Highly organized and process-oriented. You find satisfaction in bringing order to a fast-moving backlog.
- Curious and resourceful. Comfortable doing independent research and synthesizing findings without heavy direction.
**Ideally, someone who has experience being a self-starter and comfortable with a fast paced environment.
