Junior Product Designer - Partnership & Trading in our office in Bangalore
Responsibilities
• Support the design of user-centric features across Equiti's trading and partnership platforms, contributing from discovery through to delivery under the guidance of senior designers.
• Translate trading workflows and financial data into clear, usable UI - creating wireframes, flows, and prototypes that communicate ideas effectively.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and designers in day-to-day product work; participate in design reviews and contribute constructive feedback.
• Create UI designs and interactive prototypes using Equiti's design system, following established patterns and contributing to its consistency.
• Communicate your design decisions clearly and openly, inviting feedback and iterating based on input from peers and stakeholders.
• Test and refine designs based on user feedback, usability findings, and analytics - developing your instinct for what works and why.
• Contribute to design system documentation and component quality, helping maintain consistency across the product portfolio.
• Explore and incorporate AI tools into your workflow to accelerate ideation and delivery, always grounding outputs in strong design thinking.
• Design across web and mobile platforms, learning platform-appropriate patterns and accessibility standards as you go.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong foundational design thinking with genuine curiosity about user needs and the problems behind them.
- Good visual design sensibility with a growing command of typography, layout, colour, and interaction design.
- Ability to work within and contribute to design systems, with an eye for consistency and scalable thinking.
- Clear communicator - able to walk through your design rationale and receive feedback constructively.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and eager to ask questions, seek clarity, and learn from those around you.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to craft and creating trustworthy, polished experiences.
- Open to data and research - willing to let user insights and analytics challenge and improve your assumptions.
- Collaborative and empathetic - able to work well across disciplines and with teammates from different cultures and time zones.
Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Product Design, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1-2 years of experience designing digital products - internship, freelance, or full-time (a strong portfolio matters more than tenure).
- Portfolio demonstrating your design process, problem-solving, and visual craft - ideally including at least one end-to-end case study.
- Working proficiency in Figma, including the ability to create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and basic interactive prototypes.
- Basic familiarity with design systems and component-based design thinking.
- Understanding of responsive design principles and awareness of mobile and web platform conventions.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
- Exposure to data-heavy, financial, or B2B product contexts is a plus - but not required.
