Role Description The Junior MERN Stack Developer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The developer will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, integrating APIs, debugging and resolving technical issues, and collaborating with senior developers, designers, and digital marketing teams to support client projects. The role also involves participating in code reviews, testing features before deployment, and contributing to documentation and basic DevOps tasks as needed. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, able to follow best practices, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess core MERN stack skills, including experience with MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
- Candidates should possess front-end development skills such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, and basic UI/UX understanding.
- Candidates should possess back-end and API-related skills, including RESTful API development, authentication and authorization, and integration with third-party services.
- Candidates should possess software development fundamentals, including version control (Git), debugging, testing, and familiarity with agile or collaborative workflows.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate requirements into technical solutions and optimize performance.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and follow documented processes.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, basic DevOps concepts, or previous internship/academic projects using the MERN stack will be considered an advantage.
