Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Mechanical Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Junior Mechanical Engineer will assist in the design and development of air-moving equipment, including motors, fans, and blowers, using CAD tools and established engineering standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing drawings and 3D models, supporting prototype development, conducting basic performance tests, and collaborating with senior engineers on design optimization. The role involves working closely with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and compliant with company and regulatory requirements. The engineer will also contribute to documentation, participate in project meetings, and support continuous improvement initiatives in product design and processes.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with understanding of core concepts such as mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0-2 years of professional or internship experience, recent graduate from a recognized university.
- Skills in Machine Design and familiarity with rotating machinery, impellers, and air-moving equipment components.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks or similar) for 3D modeling.
- Ability to support Project Management activities, including basic planning, documentation, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Interest and skills in Research and Development (R&D), including testing, data collection, and iterative improvement of designs.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and grow within a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing setting.
