Logistics Executive
Location: Andheri East, Mumbai
Company: Lok Chemicals Pvt. Ltd.
Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹50,000 per month
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM
About the Role
Lok Chemicals is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Executive to manage transportation coordination, shipment tracking, transporter payments, and logistics documentation. The ideal candidate should possess strong follow-up skills, vendor management capabilities, and the ability to ensure smooth movement of goods across India.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Coordination
- Coordinate with transporters for timely pickup and delivery of materials.
- Arrange vehicles as per dispatch requirements and ensure cost-effective transportation.
- Track shipments and provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders.
- Resolve transportation and delivery-related issues promptly.
Transporter Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with transporters and logistics service providers.
- Negotiate freight rates and transportation terms.
- Evaluate transporter performance and service quality.
Payment & Documentation
- Verify transporter bills and freight invoices.
- Coordinate with the Accounts Department for timely processing of transporter payments.
- Follow up with transporters regarding documentation, proof of delivery (POD), and invoices.
- Maintain records of freight costs and transportation expenses.
Coordination & Follow-up
- Work closely with Sales, Purchase, Warehouse, and Accounts teams to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Follow up with transporters to ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Manage dispatch-related documentation including e-way bills, LR copies, delivery challans, and transporter records.
Reporting
- Prepare logistics and freight cost reports.
- Monitor transportation expenses and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Maintain accurate logistics MIS and shipment records.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate in any discipline.
- 3–7 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of transporter coordination, freight billing, and logistics documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
