About the Role
We are looking for a high-ownership Junior Legal Associate to work directly with the Founder on corporate legal matters, ongoing litigation/arbitration, and financial-compliance alignment.
This is not a traditional law firm role. This is a hands-on execution role at the intersection of legal, business, and accounts.
Location: Bangalore (Full-time, In-Office)
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Legal & Contracts
- Draft, review, and manage agreements (NDAs, vendor agreements, SHA/SSA, service contracts)
- Support company law compliance under the Companies Act
- Maintain proper documentation and version control
2. Litigation & Arbitration Support
- Track ongoing legal matters including High Court and arbitration cases
- Coordinate with external counsels and senior advocates
- Prepare briefs, organize documents, and track timelines
3. Compliance & Risk Tracking
- Maintain a compliance calendar and ensure timely filings
- Track notices, responses, and legal obligations
- Flag risks proactively
4. Legal + Financial Coordination
- Work closely with CA to align contracts with payments and financial records
- Assist in identifying discrepancies between agreements and actual transactions
- Maintain structured records of expenses, obligations, and commitments
Requirements
Education
- LLB (3-year or 5-year) – mandatory
Experience
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in:
- Law firms (corporate or litigation), or
- Startups / in-house legal roles
Skills (Non-Negotiable)
- Strong contract drafting and review skills
- Working knowledge of corporate law and compliance
- Basic understanding of litigation/arbitration processes
- Exposure to criminal law procedures is a plus
- Basic accounting understanding (P&L, expenses, reconciliation)
- Familiarity with tools like Tally / Zoho Books is preferred

- Not a courtroom arguing role
- Not a purely advisory role

Compensation
- As per market standards (based on capability and experience)
Location Requirement
- This is a full-time, in-office role based in Bangalore. Remote/hybrid is not applicable.
