Job details:
IPRinn Associates is a litigation-focused Intellectual Property law firm based in India. The firm represents businesses, startups, and creators in contentious and non-contentious IP matters, with a strong emphasis on IP litigation, enforcement, and prosecution. IPRinn handles trademark, patent, copyright, and design disputes, anti-counterfeiting actions, and software-related IP matters across sectors including technology, pharmaceuticals, media, fashion, and manufacturing. The firm operates strictly as a law firm and not a consultancy, delivering court-driven and enforcement-oriented legal solutions.
The Junior Lawyer will assist in intellectual property litigation, enforcement, prosecution, and related administrative matters. The role includes legal research, drafting pleadings, legal notices, applications, replies, written submissions, and other case-related documents in trademark, copyright, design, and patent matters.
The candidate will assist in preparing case files, managing filings and deadlines, coordinating with clients, reviewing evidence and documents, and supporting court proceedings as well as actions before IP authorities, including the Trade Marks Registry, Copyright Office, Design Office, Patent Office, and other relevant forums.
The role will also involve handling administrative and procedural work relating to trademark, design, copyright, and patent filing and prosecution, including preparing and filing applications, responding to examination reports/objections, attending hearings, assisting in oppositions, rectification/cancellation proceedings, renewals, assignments, recordals, and other post-filing compliances.
The position offers hands-on exposure to contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters, with particular focus on trademarks and patents, and requires close coordination with clients, attorneys, and registry/court offices.
Note: Selection for the Junior Lawyer position is subject to successful completion of a mandatory 2-month assessment internship, during which the candidate’s litigation skills, drafting ability, and courtroom preparedness will be evaluated.
