B. Project Background
GIZ Country Office Delhi is the central element of GIZ’s field structure in India. It ensures consistent representation of the company and its successful positioning as a service provider for Indo-German Development Cooperation. The GIZ Country Office India provides human resources and administrative support services for technical cooperation programmes and projects in India.
As outlined in our vision, we work to shape a future worth living around the world. To achieve this vision, Indo-German bilateral cooperation has been ongoing for over 60 years and currently works in the thematic areas of energy, environment and climate, urban development, skill development and a number of related areas. GIZ is implementing more than 30 projects on behalf of German Government clients with more than 20 Government of India Ministries and State Governments.
We are looking for Junior IT Specialist for GIZ India Country Office based in New Delhi.
C. Responsibilities
• Develop, test, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications.
• Build responsive and interactive front-end interfaces.
• Design and optimize MS SQL database structures.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage applications in Clouds Integrate third-party services.
• Develop, test, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using .NET, MVC, and .NET Core frameworks.
• Design and implement server-side logic using C#, ensuring code reusability, maintainability, and performance optimization.
• Build responsive and interactive front-end interfaces using HTML, CSHTML, jQuery, and JavaScript.
• Integrate third-party services and internal systems through RESTful APIs and ensure communication security and efficiency.
• Design and optimize MS SQL database structures, write efficient queries, and manage stored procedures and triggers.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage applications in Microsoft Azure, integrating Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
• Maintain high-quality coding standards and documentation in accordance with organizational best practices.
• Conduct manual and automated vulnerability assessments as well as penetration testing on web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
• Create, review, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans and perform testing including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and UAT testing.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems as needed.
Other duties/additional tasks
• Well-documented and reusable codebase adhering to coding standards.
• Periodic project reports and technical documentation for stakeholders.
D. Required Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Masters preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork capabilities. Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in .NET application development, including .NET Core and MVC frameworks.
• Proficiency in .NET, C#, MVC, .NET Core, Azure, Azure DevOps, MS SQL, RESTful APIs, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSHTML.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or equivalent certification.
E. Location: New Delhi
F. Duration of the contract: 1 year contract
