Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Administrator to support the day-to-day IT operations of the organization. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, managing hardware and basic network support, troubleshooting user issues, and ensuring smooth functioning of IT systems and devices.
This role is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience who are looking to build a long-term career in IT Infrastructure and System Administration.
Role Description:
The Junior IT Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, responsible for supporting the stability, security, and performance of IT systems and networks. This role involves providing first-line technical support to internal users, assisting with the maintenance and monitoring of servers, workstations, and network devices, and performing routine system administration tasks such as user account management, software installation, and updates. The Junior IT Administrator will help troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, escalate complex problems when needed, and contribute to documentation of configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions. The role also includes assisting with backup and recovery processes, adhering to security and compliance standards, and collaborating with senior IT staff on infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
• Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues
• Assist in user account setup, password resets, and access management
• Perform regular system backups and basic data recovery support
• Troubleshoot system, internet, and peripheral device issues
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
• Support software installation, updates, and antivirus management
• Ensure systems follow company IT security and compliance guidelines
• Assist senior IT team members in infrastructure and network-related activities
Required Skills:
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking
• Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and common troubleshooting practices
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment
• Basic understanding of LAN/Wi-Fi configuration is preferred
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Basic certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ will be an added advantage
• Candidates should possess skills in Technical Support and Troubleshooting to respond to user requests, resolve issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
• Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration to assist with configuration, monitoring, and basic maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network components.
• Candidates should possess skills in System Administration and Information Technology to manage user accounts, operating systems, software deployment, and hardware resources.
• Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems, basic scripting, and common productivity and collaboration tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to follow documented procedures and security guidelines.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a structured, process-driven environment.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft or Linux certifications) are an advantage but not mandatory.
