Role Description The Junior Interior Designer will support the design and execution of residential, commercial, and retail interiors as part of a full-time hybrid role based in Daskroi, with some flexibility for work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with space planning, preparing design concepts and mood boards, and supporting the development of construction drawings and detailed layouts. The role involves coordinating FF&E selections, helping with material and product research, and preparing presentations for clients and internal stakeholders. The Junior Interior Designer will also visit project sites to support measurement, quality checks, and coordination with contractors, while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring design intent is followed through to completion.
Qualifications
- Ability to apply Space Planning and Interior Design principles to residential, commercial, and retail projects.
- Foundational understanding of Architecture and its relationship with interior execution and detailing.
- Skills in preparing and reading Construction Drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Experience or training in FF&E selection, including finishes, fixtures, and furnishings.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic MS Office tools.
- Strong visual sense, attention to detail, and ability to translate concepts into practical design solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with project managers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior internship or junior-level experience in interiors is an advantage.
