Role Description The Junior Interior Designer will support project teams in developing interior concepts, preparing drawings, and coordinating design details for residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities include assisting with space planning, preparing mood boards and material palettes, supporting FF&E selections, and helping produce construction drawings and documentation under the guidance of senior designers. The role involves working closely with architects, contractors, and vendors, participating in site visits, and contributing to design presentations and client reviews. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Amritsar, requiring active collaboration within the studio and engagement in project meetings and design reviews.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate concepts into functional layouts.
- Foundational knowledge of Architecture and understanding of design coordination between interior and architectural elements.
- Ability to prepare and interpret Construction Drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
- Experience or training in FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and documentation.
- Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), and basic rendering tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Strong visual communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within timelines and project guidelines.
- Collaborative mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to work on-site with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
