Role Description The Junior Interior Designer will support the design team in developing and executing retail and spatial design projects from concept through implementation. In this full-time remote role, the designer will assist with space planning, interior layouts, FF&E selections, and preparation of design presentations and mood boards. Day-to-day tasks include producing construction drawings under guidance, coordinating with senior designers on project details, and maintaining organized project documentation. The role also involves researching materials and finishes, supporting vendor coordination, and helping ensure that all design solutions reflect client brand identity and functional requirements.
Qualifications
- Ability to apply Space Planning and Interior Design skills to create functional, brand-aligned layouts.
- Understanding of Architecture principles and their integration into interior design solutions.
- Experience or training in preparing Construction Drawings and basic technical documentation.
- Knowledge of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and coordination.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and presentation tools.
- Strong visual communication skills, including hand sketching and digital rendering, are beneficial.
- Collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage tasks in a remote work environment.
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
