Role Description The Junior Interior Designer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. This role involves supporting senior designers in developing interior concepts, preparing space plans, and assisting in the selection of materials, finishes, and FF&E. Day-to-day tasks include creating construction and interior drawings, contributing to design presentations, coordinating with vendors and consultants, and maintaining project documentation. The Junior Interior Designer will participate in site visits, assist with measurements and progress checks, and help ensure that design intent is accurately implemented. The role offers opportunities to learn across project stages, from concept development to execution.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Interior Design and Architecture, with the ability to translate concepts into practical solutions.
- Proficiency in Space Planning, ensuring efficient, functional, and aesthetically pleasing layouts.
- Experience or training in Construction Drawings, including detailing and documentation for execution on site.
- Knowledge of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and coordination.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic presentation tools.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a studio environment.
- Willingness to learn, openness to feedback, and interest in staying updated with contemporary design trends and materials.
