Role Description The Junior Interior Designer will support the design team in developing creative and functional residential interiors. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with space planning, creating mood boards, preparing basic drawings, sourcing materials and finishes, and coordinating FF&E selections under the guidance of senior designers. The role involves participating in client meetings, documenting requirements, and helping translate concepts into detailed design presentations. The designer will also collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained through execution. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Interior Design, with an understanding of residential design principles and aesthetics.
- Skills in Space Planning to create functional, efficient layouts tailored to client needs.
- Basic knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings to support accurate documentation and coordination.
- Experience or training in FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection, including materials, finishes, and accessories.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools, and familiarity with MS Office.
- Attention to detail, strong visual sense, and the ability to follow design guidelines and feedback.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, team members, and external partners.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior internship or project experience is an advantage.
