Role Description
The Hardware Networking Specialist will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop computers, peripherals, and local network infrastructure in the studio’s Borivali location.
This is a full-time, on-site role that includes installing and configuring hardware, operating systems, and network devices; monitoring network performance; and resolving technical issues for team members. The specialist will handle user support requests, ensure data backup processes run effectively, and maintain secure and reliable connectivity for internal tools and communication systems. The role also involves applying best practices in network security, documenting system configurations and incidents, and collaborating with the leadership team to plan upgrades and improvements. The person in this role will contribute to a smooth, stable technology environment that supports Newarch®’s design work and studio operations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting and technical support skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess solid experience with desktop computers, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and basic hardware repairs.
- Candidates should possess practical network administration skills, including managing routers, switches, Wi‑Fi access points, IP addressing, and user access control.
- Candidates should possess a good understanding of network security, including firewalls, antivirus tools, access policies, and basic data protection practices.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or macOS environments, common office applications, and basic command-line tools.
- Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical colleagues, prioritize tasks, and document issues and resolutions.
- Experience in an on-site IT support or hardware/networking role is preferred; vendor certifications (such as CompTIA Network+, A+, or similar) are an advantage.
