About Lexcorp Technologies
Lexcorp Technologies is a mobile game studio focused on building engaging puzzle and casual games for global audiences.
We are looking for a highly curious and analytical person who deeply enjoys:
- understanding why games become successful,
- studying player psychology,
- analyzing puzzle mechanics,
- discovering market trends,
- and helping shape better game experiences.
This role combines:
- junior game design,
- puzzle analysis,
- market research,
- gameplay breakdown,
- and product thinking.
You will work closely with our existing game design team and founders to improve:
- gameplay feel,
- retention thinking,
- onboarding,
- emotional engagement,
- and commercial viability of our games.
Role Overview
This is NOT a pure documentation role.
You will:
- play and analyze successful mobile puzzle and casual games,
- break down mechanics and player psychology,
- assist in puzzle and level ideation,
- help improve game feel and clarity,
- support designers with structured research and execution,
- and contribute to prototype development discussions.
You should enjoy both:
- analytical thinking,
- and
- understanding player emotions.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket & Trend Research
- Play top-performing mobile puzzle and casual games regularly
- Research emerging market trends and gameplay patterns
- Analyze why certain games succeed or fail
- Study onboarding, progression, retention, monetization, and ad hooks
- Prepare weekly reports on:
- new game trends,
- notable mechanics,
- emotional hooks,
- market opportunities,
- competitor analysis
Gameplay & Puzzle Analysis
- Break down gameplay loops and progression systems
- Analyze cognitive load, player friction, and emotional pacing
- Study classic logic and puzzle games for inspiration
- Help identify what makes gameplay satisfying and scalable
- Suggest improvements for:
- clarity,
- engagement,
- reward systems,
- player comfort,
- and replayability
Junior Game Design Support
- Assist senior game designers with:
- level ideas,
- mechanic variations,
- balancing,
- progression flow,
- puzzle structures,
- UX feedback,
- and gameplay tuning
- Help organize and document gameplay systems
- Participate in brainstorming sessions
- Test prototypes and provide structured feedback
Player Experience & Emotional Design
- Observe how games create:
- satisfaction,
- tension,
- recovery,
- anticipation,
- progression,
- and emotional reward
- Help improve game “juice,” feel, and player engagement
- Identify moments where players may feel:
- confused,
- bored,
- fatigued,
- or frustrated
Required SkillsMust Have
- Passion for mobile games, especially puzzle/casual games
- Strong observation and analytical skills
- Ability to explain WHY a game mechanic works
- Good understanding of player psychology
- Curiosity about trends and market behavior
- Structured thinking and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
Good To Have
- Experience playing puzzle, sorting, merge, logic, or casual games
- Understanding of retention and monetization concepts
- Basic game design knowledge
- Experience with spreadsheets, documentation, or flow analysis
- Familiarity with games like:
- Candy Crush Saga
- Royal Match
- Block Blast!
- Woodoku
- Connections
- Wordscapes
