Role OverviewWe are looking for a Junior Flavourist to support flavour development and formulation under the guidance of senior team members.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in flavour chemistry and early hands-on experience in flavour formulation, evaluation, and application, looking to grow within a structured flavour development environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in flavour formulation and development across categories (beverages, bakery, dairy, confectionery, etc.)
- Support modification and optimisation of flavours based on internal feedback and customer briefs
- Work closely with senior flavourists on ongoing projects and trials
- Conduct basic sensory evaluation and flavour profiling
- Support sample preparation and application trials
- Maintain formulation records, raw material documentation, and lab notes
- Assist in scale-up support from lab to production
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Required Skills & Experience- 2–3 years of experience in:
- Flavours / food ingredients / FMCG (R&D or lab-based role)
- Educational background in:
- Food Technology / Chemistry / Flavour Science / related field
- Basic understanding of:
- Flavour chemistry and ingredient interactions
- Sensory evaluation techniques
- Prior experience working under a senior or mid-level flavourist
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good to Have- Exposure to:
- Flavour matching or modification
- Application trials (beverages, dairy, bakery, etc.)
- Familiarity with:
- Basic analytical tools or lab equipment
