About the Role
We are hiring a Junior Finance Associate to support the finance operations of a UAE‑based client in the logistics domain. This is an entry‑level, execution‑focused role, suitable for fresh B.Com graduates who are comfortable working with data, numbers, and routine finance operations.
The role is hands‑on and process‑driven, involving a significant amount of data entry, validation, and reconciliation work. It is ideal for candidates who prefer structured work, are detail‑oriented, and are looking to build strong accounting fundamentals over time.
The selected candidate will be on the payroll of Wertical and will work closely with the client’s finance processes as part of Wertical’s back‑office team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process a high volume of invoices accurately within defined timelines
- Perform data entry related to Accounts Receivable and Payable (AR/AP) transactions
- Carry out bank reconciliation activities and post related accounting entries
- Prepare and post journal entries based on supporting data and instructions
- Support month‑end and job‑closing activities through systematic data checks and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records, trackers, and supporting documentation
- Perform regular data validation, corrections, and accuracy checks
- Support audit requirements by organising and sharing required documents
- Coordinate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure timely completion of finance tasks
Note: This role involves routine, repetitive, and accuracy‑driven work and requires patience, consistency, and attention to detail.
Skills & Qualifications
- B.Com / B.Com Finance / Accounting qualification only
- This role is intended strictly for fresh graduates
- Short academic or internship exposure in finance/accounts is acceptable
- Candidates with logistics or shipping education background will have an added advantage
- Basic working knowledge of MS Excel (data entry, simple formulas)
- Good understanding of basic accounting concepts
- High attention to detail and ability to handle repetitive tasks
- Willingness to learn through hands‑on execution work
- Looking for stability and long‑term learning (minimum one‑year association preferred)
This role may not be suitable for candidates with postgraduate qualifications (such as MBA/M.Com ) or those seeking analytical, strategic, or fast‑track growth roles.
