JOB SUMMARY
Junior Executive (F&A) assists in managing day-to-day accounting operations, banking operations, supporting compliance activities, and contributing to the preparation of financial reports and management information.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-driven, analytically minded professional who thrives in a structured, deadline-oriented environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Process employee expense claims and vendor invoices including invoice verification, purchase order matching, and timely payment scheduling.
• Maintain accounts receivable records — generate and dispatch customer invoices, follow up on outstanding dues, and reconcile customer accounts.
• Record all financial transactions in the accounting system (Tally Prime).
• Assist in managing petty cash operations, including disbursements, replenishments, and monthly reconciliation.
Banking & Treasury Management
• Coordinate & execute fund transfers as directed by the Finance Manager.
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliation, cashflow statements.
• Maintain records of cheque issuances, electronic fund transfers (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS), and receipts.
• Reconcile inter-company accounts and ensure timely closure of open items.
Payroll Accounting
• Verify payroll computations and flag discrepancies prior to disbursement approval.
• Assist in computing and filing statutory payroll deductions including PF, ESI, PT, and TDS on salaries.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
• Assist in the preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2A/2B reconciliation) in accordance with statutory deadlines.
• Maintain and reconcile input tax credit (ITC) ledgers and resolve mismatches with vendor data on the GSTN portal.
• Support computation and payment of TDS liabilities, and assist in filing TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q) with accuracy.
• Ensure all statutory payments (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, PT) are processed before due dates.
Reporting & Documentation
• Prepare and organize supporting documentation for internal audits, statutory audits, and tax assessments.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation including ledgers, vouchers, contracts, and statutory filings.
• Assist in implementing internal controls and finance process improvements as directed by the Finance Manager.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and statutory authorities as required.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including profit & loss accounts and balance sheet schedules.
• Prepare MIS reports, expense summaries, and variance analysis reports for management review on a periodic basis.
• Support budget tracking activities by monitoring actual expenditure against approved budgets and flagging material variances.
• Maintain a well-organized, accurate, and audit-compliant filing system for all financial records, both physical and digital.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Solid understanding of core accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial reporting basics.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally Prime is advantageous.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting).
• High numerical accuracy and strong attention to detail in financial data entry and reconciliation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and propose corrective actions.
IDEAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
• 0.5–1.5 years of experience in a Finance, Accounts or Accounting support role; freshers with strong internship experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Prior exposure to Taxation, Audit support is advantageous.
