Role Overview
The Junior Equity Research Analyst will work closely with the Equity Research Analyst and Portfolio Management team to support investment research, data analysis, and reporting activities. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a strong foundation in equity markets and fundamental analysis.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in data collection and financial analysis of listed companies using annual reports, investor presentations, and financial databases
- Support the preparation of company research notes, summaries, and financial models
- Maintain and update Excel-based financial models, valuation sheets, and tracking dashboards
- Track quarterly results, corporate announcements, and key developments across assigned sectors
- Help monitor portfolio performance and maintain internal MIS reports
- Conduct industry and peer analysis to support investment decisions
- Assist in preparing investor presentations, factsheets, and quarterly updates
- Compile and organize market data, news flow, and economic indicators relevant to portfolio holdings
- Provide research and logistical support for client meetings and presentations
- Ensure proper documentation and organization of research materials
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong interest in equity markets and investing
- Basic understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Good analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- CFA Level 1 cleared or pursuing is a plus
