Junior Engineer - MechanicalAditya Birla Groupfull-timeRequired skillscommunication skillsRoot Cause AnalysisAbout the role Aditya Birla Group Website: adityabirla.com Job details: Job PurposePerform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.Troubleshoot issues in furnaces, rolling mills, conveyors, cranes, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems.Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and calibration of machinery.Support production teams during machine changeovers, shutdowns, and emergencies.Maintain and update maintenance logs, checklists, and spare parts records.Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.Follow all plant safety rules, participate in safety audits and toolbox talks.Identify opportunities for cost reduction, equipment improvement, and efficiency enhancement.Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documents.Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repair tasks.Required Skills (Points)Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.Hands-on skills in welding, fabrication, and basic machining (preferred).Familiarity with TPM, 5S, and Kaizen systems (advantage).Good problem-solving and communication skills.Willingness to work in rotational shifts if required.
