Position Overview
We are seeking a forward-thinking Junior Data Analyst to join our team in Pune. This is not your typical data entry role; we are looking for a problem solver who embraces the future of work.
In this role, you will tackle complex data challenges by combining foundational technical skills with modern AI tools. You don't need to be a syntax expert, but you must understand the logic of SQL and Python. You will be expected to "vibe code"—using AI to accelerate script writing, debugging, and analysis—while collaborating with teammates to solve logical puzzles that drive the clean energy market.
What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
Data Operations & Logic: Take ownership of complex data cleaning, collection, and transformation tasks. You will break down abstract problems into logical steps and execute them.
AI-Assisted Coding: Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to generate, debug, and refine Python scripts and SQL queries. You will act as the "pilot," guiding the AI to build the technical solutions we need.
Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with the team to identify data gaps. You will vibe with teammates to brainstorm logical solutions and implement them rapidly using your technical toolkit.
Market Intelligence: Utilize Google Advanced Search and Boolean logic to hunt for hard-to-find data points regarding the US Solar/Storage market.
Quality Assurance: Validate the output of your AI-generated code and data queries to ensure high accuracy before it reaches our clients.
What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)
Educational Background: A degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Math) or equivalent self-taught proficiency.
Technical Foundation (Python & SQL): You must have a functional knowledge of Python and SQL. You don't need to memorize every library, but you must know how to read code, understand logic flow, and prompt AI effectively to write it.
AI Literacy: You are comfortable using LLMs to unblock yourself. You know how to frame a technical problem to an AI and iterate on the response to get a working solution.
Logical Thinking: Strong aptitude for logic puzzles and structural thinking. You can look at a messy dataset and visualize the steps needed to clean it.
Data Fluency: Proficiency in MS Excel (functions, pivot tables) and Google Advanced Search is required.
Soft Skills: High energy, attention to detail, and a "figure-it-out" attitude. You are not afraid to ask questions or propose new ways to solve old problems.
