Job SummaryWordSword Creations is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Concept Artist specializing in props and backgrounds for kids animated content. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of design, color, composition, and visual storytelling, with the ability to create appealing environment concepts, set designs, and object/prop illustrations that support the overall world-building of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Create concept designs for props, objects, and background environments for kids animation projects
- Develop visually engaging designs based on story, mood, and style requirements
- Work closely with the art director, storyboard team, and animation team to maintain visual consistency
- Produce sketches, mood explorations, color keys, and final concept sheets
- Research styles, architecture, objects, and locations to enhance authenticity and creativity
- Revise designs based on creative feedback and production needs
- Organize and prepare artwork files for internal production use
Requirements- 1-3 years of experience in concept art, illustration, or related field
- Strong drawing and visualization skills with a focus on backgrounds and props
- Good understanding of perspective, composition, lighting, color, and design fundamentals
- Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software
- Ability to adapt to different art styles and project requirements
- Passion for animation, storytelling, and world-building
- A strong portfolio showcasing environment, prop, and visual development work
Preferred Skills- Basic understanding of animation production pipeline
- Knowledge of stylized design for kids’ content or animated series
- Ability to work in a collaborative and deadline-driven environment
