Role Description (Client)
• The Category Manager is responsible for owning and scaling a specific business segment such as Salons & Clinics, Restaurants, or Boutiques.
• The role drives revenue by converting qualified leads into long-term clients while managing category growth and profitability.
• This is a performance-driven position requiring strong commercial acumen and accountability.
Compensation Structure
• Fixed Salary: Rs. 18,000 per month. (Based on experience and interview)
• Incentive: 1% to 3% on monthly revenue generated (slab-based).
• Incentives applicable only on realized revenue (payment received).
Key Responsibilities –
Revenue Generation
- Convert qualified leads provided by the Business Development team.
- Conduct requirement analysis and recommend suitable products.
- Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals.
- Close transactions and ensure timely payment collection.
Category Development & Ownership
• Develop deep understanding of assigned industry segment.
• Identify product gaps and growth opportunities.
• Coordinate with procurement and vendors for pricing and availability.
• Maintain healthy margins and increase average order value.
Client Relationship Management
• Build long-term business relationships.
• Drive repeat orders and retention.
• Upsell and cross-sell complementary products.
• Ensure professional post-sale support.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Monthly revenue target achievement.
• Lead-to-conversion ratio.
• Repeat order percentage.
• Average order value.
• Category revenue growth.
Qualifications & Competencies
• 1 to 3 years of sales experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Ability to manage client relationships independently.
• Commercial awareness and margin sensitivity.
• High ownership mindset and performance orientation.
