The Role
We’re looking for a Brand Lead who will own and elevate every piece of communication that goes out from Cityfurnish — from website and app content to performance marketing creatives, WhatsApp messages, emailers, and listing copies. You’ll work directly with the founders, take full ownership of brand hygiene across all channels, and build a high-performing creative team from the ground up.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You won’t just strategize — you’ll create, review, and ship work daily while simultaneously mentoring a team of designers and video creators. You’ll also lead our influencer partnerships, identifying and managing creators who align with the Cityfurnish brand to produce content for ads and organic reach.
What You’ll Do
- Own the end-to-end brand communication for Cityfurnish across all external touchpoints — website, app, performance ads, WhatsApp, email, social media, and listing platforms.
- Create and manage content for website pages, app screens, product listings, and landing pages that convert.
- Lead creative strategy and execution for performance marketing — including static creatives, short-form videos, reels, and motion graphics that drive ROI.
- Establish and enforce brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual standards across every channel. Act as the quality gatekeeper for all outbound communication.
- Build, hire, and manage a creative team — graphic designers, video editors, video interns, and motion designers — to produce high-quality output at speed.
- Own the influencer marketing function — screen, shortlist, and onboard influencers/creators who align with Cityfurnish’s brand. Manage end-to-end influencer relationships, briefs, content approvals, and deliverables.
- Produce influencer-led content that can be repurposed as performance ads and organic social posts, ensuring it meets brand standards while feeling authentic.
- Collaborate directly with founders on strategic projects, campaign ideation, and brand positioning decisions.
- Review and approve all creatives before they go live — ensuring they meet brand hygiene standards while performing well in paid channels.
- Continuously audit all communication channels (website copy, listing copy, CRM messages, notifications) and fix inconsistencies proactively.
- Stay current with D2C brand trends, competitor creative strategies, influencer landscape, and emerging content formats.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in a brand, creative, or content leadership role — preferably at a D2C or consumer startup.
- Demonstrated experience managing or building a creative team (designers, video editors, interns).
- Hands-on experience with influencer management — screening creators, negotiating collaborations, managing deliverables, and measuring impact.
- Strong portfolio showing high-performing creatives — statics and videos that drove measurable results in performance marketing.
- Excellent command over brand communication — you can write compelling copy, brief a designer, and review output with an eye for detail.
- Experience owning brand hygiene across multiple channels simultaneously (website, app, ads, email, WhatsApp).
- Comfortable working directly with founders in a high-ownership, fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong understanding of what makes creatives perform in paid media (Meta, Google, programmatic).
AI-Native Mindset (Strongly Preferred)
- We strongly prefer candidates who are AI-native in their workflows. Specifically:
- You actively use AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, Claude, Figma AI, Canva AI, etc.) to accelerate content creation, ideation, and iteration.
- You can demonstrate with examples how AI has increased your output speed and quality — whether that’s generating creative variations, writing copy drafts, producing video concepts, or automating repetitive brand tasks.
- You see AI as a multiplier, not a replacement — and you’re excited about integrating AI workflows into a creative team’s daily operations.
- Bonus: You’ve built or customized AI workflows/automations for brand or content work.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the consumer brands/subscriptions/hospitality space.
- Existing network of micro and macro influencers in the lifestyle, tech, or urban living space.
- Familiarity with tools like Figma, After Effects, Premiere Pro, or CapCut for quick edits.
- Understanding of SEO-friendly copywriting and conversion-focused landing page design.
- Prior experience scaling a creative function from scratch at a startup.
