Role Description The Junior Associate role is a full-time, on-site position based in Patna. The Junior Associate will assist senior lawyer with legal research, drafting pleadings, petitions, contracts, and other legal documents, and preparing case briefs and opinions. Daily responsibilities include reviewing case files, compiling evidence, coordinating with clients for information and documentation, and supporting courtroom preparation and appearances as needed. The role also involves maintaining case records, tracking deadlines, and contributing to internal discussions on case strategy. The Junior Associate is expected to demonstrate professionalism, uphold confidentiality, and collaborate effectively with the firm’s team and staff.
Qualifications
- Strong legal research and drafting skills, including the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and legal precedents.
- Ability to work across multiple practice areas such as civil matters, family law, criminal defense, and DRT-related cases.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for client interactions, documentation, and coordination with courts and authorities.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple case files, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking to assess facts, identify legal issues, and support case strategies.
- Professional ethics, discretion, and commitment to client confidentiality and firm values of trust and mutual respect.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior associates and staff, while taking initiative and responsibility for assigned tasks.
- LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution; enrollment with a Bar Council and prior internship or courtroom exposure are preferred.
