Legal Prism is expanding its Non-Litigation (Property Due Diligence) team and is looking for passionate Advocates, Junior Associates, Associates, and Trainees to join our growing team.
Position
Junior Associate / Associate / Trainee – Property Due Diligence (Title Search)
Eligibility
* Qualification: Advocate (LL.B.)
* Experience: Freshers/Trainees with a keen interest in property law are welcome to apply. For Associate roles, 1–4 years’ post-qualification experience in Property Due Diligence/Title Search is preferred.
* Geographical Exposure: Experience in property title searches across Mumbai & Navi Mumbai will be an added advantage.
* Core Expertise:
* Property laws and development regulations
* Title Search and Property Due Diligence
* Working knowledge of CIDCO, MIDC, SRA, MHADA, Revenue Records, and Sub-Registrar Office (SRO) procedures
* Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English (mandatory); knowledge of Marathi and Hindi is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct legal due diligence and title verification of immovable properties.
* Vet and scrutinize title documents to verify the genuineness, authenticity, and marketability of property titles.
* Review and verify records maintained by CIDCO, MIDC, SRA, MHADA, Revenue Authorities, Sub-Registrar Offices, and other statutory authorities.
* Examine the chain of title, ownership documents, approvals, permissions, development rights, and statutory compliances.
* Identify title defects, encumbrances, litigation, legal risks, and compliance issues affecting the property.
* Prepare comprehensive Title Search Reports (TSRs) and Due Diligence Reports with clear legal observations and recommendations.
* Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of reports.
