Role Overview
The Junior Art Director – Social & Content will be responsible for driving the visual identity, execution, and creative output for our brand portfolio in the Mumbai market. Operating at the intersection of traditional art direction, motion design, and content creation, this role requires a hybrid creative who is as comfortable designing a high-impact static post as they are scripting, filming, and editing a trending reel.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of modern, digital-first creative communication, a social-first mindset, and the agility to adapt to AI-driven workflows. You will balance hands-on design execution with conceptual thinking to deliver culturally relevant, thumb-stopping content in a fast-paced agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Design & Content Execution (60% – 70%)
- Lead and execute daily visual content across social media channels, digital campaigns, branding assets, and integrated marketing projects.
- Develop strong visual systems, static layouts, carousels, and modern typography styles tailored to platform aesthetics (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Ensure all creative assets maintain absolute brand consistency and align with client guidelines.
- Translate creative briefs into engaging visual stories, moodboards, and campaign concepts.
- Present design concepts confidently to internal teams and incorporate feedback efficiently.
2. Reels, Video & Motion Production (20% – 30%)
- Create and execute reels, social media videos, motion-led creatives, animated content, and digital campaign assets.
- Support on-set production shoots, providing art direction, framing references, and storyboarding.
- Direct and execute short-form video content from concept to final cut, ensuring high visual quality and native platform appeal.
- Collaborable closely with content creators, copywriters, and strategists to brainstorm video-first campaign ideas.
3. Branding, Presentations & Support (10% – 20%)
- Design high-quality presentation decks for new business pitches, client proposals, and internal strategy alignments.
- Support offline brand activations, event visual collaterals, and agency marketing initiatives.
- Maintain a highly structured asset management workflow to ensure seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.
4. AI Adaptability & Innovation
- Integrate AI tools into daily workflows for rapid prototyping, visual ideation, moodboard generation, and automated asset scaling.
- Stay ahead of shifting digital design trends, viral formats, platform updates, and technological advancements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience working within a digital or social media agency in Mumbai.
- Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing social media campaigns, distinct branding work, slick typography, and slick motion/video executions.
- Video Agility: Ability to independently create and edit short-form social media videos and reels.
- Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of video pacing, transitions, hooks, captions, and platform-native formats.
- Motion Skills: Basic motion graphics and animation capability to elevate static imagery.
- Agility: Proven track record of handling multiple brands simultaneously in a high-pressure, fast-paced agency environment.
- Mindset: An AI-friendly workflow approach and an eagerness to modernize creative output using emerging tech.

- Video & Motion: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut
- Agile Content: Canva
- AI & Generation: Runway, Kling, Sora, Midjourney, Firefly, and related AI productivity tools
Commercial Contribution
- Account Value Support: Expected to directly manage and execute the creative output for accounts holding a combined monthly creative portfolio of atleast 3-5 clients
- Retention & Upsell: Tasked with driving account retention and organic growth through undeniable creative execution and proactive, trend-forward visual ideas.
