Company Description
Vast Architects is a young design studio based in Seshadripuram, Bengaluru, working across a range of project typologies. Our practice is shaped by patience and attentiveness—to context, craft, and the small decisions that quietly define the whole.
We believe good architecture begins with clear thinking, and that this clarity should carry through every stage of the process—from drawings and detailing to conversations, coordination, and communication. For us, care in the process is inseparable from care in the outcome.
We believe in the importance of a good work-life balance, and do not indulge in micromanaging our architects. We have a no questions asked leave policy and flexible timings. We only expect that you love the work you do, aim at getting better at it, and not take shortcuts.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Junior Architect at Vast Architects.
The role involves working closely across all stages of a project, including architectural design, working and detailed drawings, project coordination, site involvement, presentations, and the many nuanced tasks that emerge as a project develops.
We see the role as a period of steady learning, responsibility, and professional growth. We value curiosity, care, initiative, and a willingness to engage deeply with the work. In return, the studio aims to provide meaningful exposure, guidance, and increasing responsibility.
We believe architecture is learned not only through instruction, but through participation: by drawing carefully, asking questions, visiting sites, observing how things are made, coordinating with people, and spending time with the work.
