Role Description The Junior Architect will support the design and development of architectural projects from concept through execution in a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai. Day-to-day tasks include assisting in architectural design, preparing drawings and 3D models, developing presentation materials, and contributing to design iterations under the guidance of senior team members. The role involves coordinating with project stakeholders, helping compile documentation for approvals, and supporting basic project management activities such as tracking timelines and deliverables. The Junior Architect will also participate in design reviews, assist in integrating different building systems into cohesive designs, and ensure that project standards and regulations are met.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, space planning, and preparation of design documentation.
- Candidates should possess skills in Software Development and Integration as they relate to architectural tools and workflows, such as understanding how different design and visualization software integrate within project processes.
- Candidates should possess skills in Project Management, including basic planning, coordination, and tracking of tasks and milestones within a design project.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and visualization tools is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution or equivalent qualification.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to interpret design briefs, and willingness to learn from feedback.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in an on-site studio environment in Chennai.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and sustainable design principles is an advantage.
