Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Junior Architect role based in Chennai, India, working directly under the supervision of the Company Director. The Junior Architect will be primarily responsible for drafting and 3D modelling in SketchUp to support the design and documentation of architectural and acoustic spaces. A key part of the role involves integrating AI tools into the rendering workflow to produce high-quality visualizations efficiently. Daily tasks include coordinating design information, assisting with material and product research, and contributing to layout planning for studios, theatres, and other specialized environments. The Junior Architect will also prepare polished client-facing presentations using InDesign, collaborate with consultants and contractors, and support site visits and design revisions to maintain quality, timelines, and alignment with client expectations.
Compensation
₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month, based on experience.
Qualifications
- Strong drafting skills with hands-on proficiency in SketchUp for 3D modelling and design development.
- Experience or strong interest in integrating AI tools into architectural rendering and visualization workflows.
- Proficiency in InDesign (or similar) for preparing final client presentations.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and basic understanding of acoustic design principles are beneficial.
- Ability to work closely under the guidance and direction of the Company Director, translating direction into finished drawings and visuals.
- Candidates should possess skills in Project Management for organizing tasks, tracking progress, and supporting coordination among project stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field, with 1–3 years of professional experience or internships in architectural design.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary, on-site environment.
