Role Description The Junior Architect will support the design and development of academic and institutional spaces that align with C V Raman Academy’s teaching philosophy and operational needs. This full-time, on-site role is based in Coimbatore and involves assisting in architectural planning, preparing drawings and documentation, and coordinating with senior architects, engineers, and contractors. Daily tasks include contributing to architectural design concepts, ensuring integration of functional and aesthetic requirements, reviewing design feasibility, and participating in project meetings. The role also involves helping track project timelines, maintaining compliance with local regulations and safety standards, and supporting the implementation of design updates as projects progress.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including the ability to prepare drawings, plans, and basic 3D visualizations.
- Candidates should possess skills in Software Development and Integration as they relate to using architectural design tools, CAD/BIM software, and coordinating digital project workflows.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills, such as basic scheduling, documentation, coordination with stakeholders, and attention to budget and timelines.
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field, familiarity with local building codes and standards, and proficiency in common design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
- Additional beneficial skills include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication and collaboration, willingness to learn from senior professionals, and the capacity to work on-site in a structured, education-focused environment.
