Your Impact
You will be required in assisting in the preparation and filing of multi-state, city and municipal level taxes in the US i.e., Property tax, Annual License renewal, Gross receipt tax, Excise tax, Rent tax etc., and executing the various processes for compilation of data required for preparing and filing the returns, corresponding with office finance for information required in the tax compliance process, ensure timely and accurate submission of all required tax documents, administering timely payment of monthly, quarterly and year-end tax payments.
You will also coordinate with external agencies for handling the business license renewals and various tax assessments, preparation of defense, responses and submissions for audits/ examinations carried out by the tax authorities, preparation of GL accounts reconciliation and processing of necessary journals. You will help us with tracking the audit progress and maintain detailed records of all communications and findings, maintain organized records of all tax filings, documentation of processes followed and work performed, and other tax accounting related tasks as assigned on a time-to-time basis.
You will use your strong accounting, computer, and communication skills to work on the tax project with limited supervision.
Your Qualifications and Skills
- Semi-qualified CA, or an MBA finance with 1+ years of accounting and reconciliation experience in a multinational corporation or an accounting firm is desirable.
- Prior US multi state tax compliance experience will be an added advantage
