Junior Accountant
MOKA Events is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting activities related to events and operations, ensure accuracy in financial records, and assist the senior finance team in smooth execution of financial processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow in a fast-paced event management environment with exposure to diverse financial functions.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Management
• Process daily, weekly, and monthly vendor payments on time.
• Verify expenses related to events, productions, and operations with supporting bills and documents.
• Prepare and maintain payment statements and reconciliations.
Accounts Receivable
• Follow up with clients for outstanding payments related to events and projects.
• Reconcile customer accounts and ensure timely collections.
Finance Operations
• Assist the Senior Finance Associate in day-to-day finance operations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for events and internal operations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, and other applicable regulations.
General Accounting Support
• Prepare vouchers, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Maintain vendor and client records in an organized and systematic manner.
• Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and external auditors as required.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Business Administration (B.Com / BBA).
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and Tally.
• Basic understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and statutory compliance.
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other tax compliances.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
