Job Summary
The Junior Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining financial records, processing transactions, ensuring compliance with GST and TDS regulations, and assisting in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Record and maintain daily financial transactions.
• Prepare and process purchase, sales, and expense entries.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Generate and verify invoices, payment vouchers, and receipts.
• Perform bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
• Prepare and maintain GST records, including GST return data and reconciliation.
• Calculate, deduct, and maintain TDS records as per applicable regulations.
• Assist in GST and TDS return filing and statutory compliance.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and vendor accounts.
• Prepare MIS reports and financial statements as required.
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and records.
• Support monthly and annual closing activities.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal departments.
Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, bookkeeping, and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Tally Prime/Tally ERP and MS Excel.
• Understanding of statutory compliance and taxation requirements.
• Good analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and coordination abilities.
Qualifications
• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting and taxation. (NO FRESHER)
• Working knowledge of GST and TDS is mandatory.
• Experience with Tally Prime will be an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
• Ability to independently handle GST and TDS-related tasks.
• Knowledge of payroll processing and vendor management.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Salary: Up to 28k per month
