Petra Industries Ltd. is a rapidly growing organization engaged in the manufacturing and global trading of specialty chemicals. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team.
Key Responsibilities
- Record day-to-day accounting transactions accurately in the accounting software.
- Prepare and maintain sales, purchase, payment, and receipt entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and vendor/customer ledgers.
- Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities.
- Prepare invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and payment vouchers.
- Maintain petty cash and expense records.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Coordinate with internal departments for accounting-related documentation.
- Maintain proper filing of financial records and supporting documents.
- Assist senior accountants and auditors during internal and statutory audits.
- Perform any other accounts-related tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Tally Prime or any accounting ERP.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Understanding of GST, TDS, and banking transactions.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
- Freshers are welcome. Candidates with up to 2 years of experience in accounting will be preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with accounting software.
- Knowledge of MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
