Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The role will be pivotal in maintaining financial transparency, supporting compliance, and strengthening the financial management systems that enable our mission-driven initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledger posting, and expense recording in Tally.
2. Verify and record bills, invoices, receipts, and vouchers in accordance with organisational policies and donor requirements.
3. Conduct bank, vendor, and inter-office reconciliations on a regular basis.
4. Prepare monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements under the supervision of the Finance Lead.
5. Support in the budget preparation, tracking, and variance analysis for ongoing programs and projects.
6. Ensure timely and accurate statutory compliance, including TDS, GST, PF, and other applicable filings.
7. Maintain and organize financial documents for internal and external audits.
8. Coordinate with internal teams for data collection, fund requests, and financial documentation.
9. Assist in preparing financial reports and utilization statements for donors and management.
10. Uphold confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity in all financial transactions.
Skills, Qualifications & Competencies:
1. B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
2. 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance (preferably in NGOs or non-profit organizations).
3. Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
4. Experience in Tally ERP and MS Excel is essential.
5. Strong grasp of accounting concepts and documentation practices.
6. Proficiency in Tally and Excel-based reporting.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Good communication and coordination skills across teams.
9. Ethical conduct and commitment to organizational values.
