Role Description
This is a full-time Junior Accountant role located on-site in the Greater Chennai Area. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, handling accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, and reconciling bank statements. Additionally, the role requires assisting with budget management, tax filings, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Collaboration with internal departments to provide financial data and insights will also be a key aspect of this position.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
- Familiarity with accounting software and tools, such as Tally or QuickBooks, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records
- Basic understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with internal teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Relevant experience in accounting, preferably in the construction or EPC industry, is a plus
