Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, processing payments, tracking accounts receivable and payable, and assisting with monthly and annual closing activities. The role will support budgeting, cost tracking for trade operations, and preparation of financial reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory compliance. The Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate documentation for domestic and international transactions, including taxation and statutory requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and bank reconciliation.
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing.
- Working knowledge of taxation, compliance, and statutory reporting relevant to Indian businesses.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and cost summaries.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with operations and trade teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in trading, export/import, or logistics-focused organizations is beneficial.
