Lead Developer – Data Ecosystem

Set things in motion.


  • Lead the technical architecture and development of our Data Hub and Data Lab platforms
  • Design and optimize data pipelines, APIs, and self-service tools – with Python as a core technology
  • Build and maintain an event-driven data architecture with a focus on real-time processing
  • Administer and enhance our Azure Databricks workspaces
  • Deploy pipelines using Databricks Asset Bundles and automate workflows via GitHub Actions
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Pulumi or Terraform
  • Collaborate with product owners and data scientists to deliver impactful data use cases
  • Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., Data Mesh, Lakehouse, Generative AI)


Use your skills.


  • Strong proficiency in Python – essential for development, automation, and infrastructure
  • Several years of experience building data platforms or data-driven applications
  • Solid knowledge of technologies such as Spark, Airflow, dbt, etc.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS and Azure
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, including workspace administration
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Pulumi or Terraform)
  • Familiarity with event streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, EventHub)
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and scalability
  • You can successfully manage and align cross-team collaboration to achieve strategic goals
  • Strong communication skills, team spirit, and a passion for innovation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English. German is a plus.
