In line with our legal obligations we may also request information about your criminal record. We collect this personal information from the following sources: You; Recruitment agencies; Employment background check providers, Credit reference agencies; named referees; and data from third party publicly accessible sources, such as professional registration bodies. We have a legitimate interest in processing personal data during, and after, the recruitment process. This allows us to appropriately handle your application, review your suitability for a role, and engage in the negotiation and completion of a contract. In some cases, the data we process is needed to comply with our legal obligations. This may include checks regarding your right to work in the UK, and qualification checks to confirm eligibility for restricted roles. Special category data collected will only be processed with a specific purpose, primarily monitoring our equal opportunities access. Health data maybe processed for any reasonable adjustments requested/made to support you during the process, and any possible subsequent employment. Criminal records checks may be conducted to ensure that your history does not interfere with your suitability for employment.
