Role Description The Jr. Video Editor – Agency role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The role involves editing video content for a variety of creative projects, including marketing campaigns, social media assets, and brand communication materials. Day-to-day tasks include assembling raw footage, trimming and sequencing clips, applying basic color corrections, and integrating graphics or motion elements as needed. The Jr. Video Editor will collaborate closely with senior editors, designers, and account managers to interpret briefs, maintain brand consistency, and deliver polished, engaging visual stories. The role also includes organizing media files, maintaining project timelines, and exporting deliverables in required formats.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in video editing and video production for short-form and long-form content.
- Candidates should possess skills in video color grading to ensure consistent and high-quality visual aesthetics.
- Candidates should possess skills in motion graphics and graphics to enhance storytelling and brand communication.
- Basic familiarity with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and motion tools (e.g., After Effects) is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, visual storytelling ability, and an understanding of pacing and sound synchronization are preferred.
- Ability to take creative feedback, work to deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is important.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating video editing and motion work, and a relevant academic background or training in media, film, or design is advantageous.
