Key Responsibilities:
1. UAV System Integration:
- Integrate avionics systems including flight controllers, ESCs, GPS modules, telemetry
systems, and payloads into UAV platforms.
- Ensure seamless interaction between hardware and software components across the UAV
system.
- Perform system-level validation of integrated UAV subsystems.
2. Assembly and Configuration:
- Assemble UAV platforms including wiring harnesses, connectors, and structural components.
- Configure flight controllers (e.g., ArduPilot/PX4) and calibrate sensors such as IMU, compass,
GPS, and airspeed sensors.
- Perform parameter tuning for stable and optimized flight performance.
3. Communication & Interface Setup:
- Configure and validate communication protocols such as UART, CAN, MAVLink, SBUS, and
Ethernet.
- Integrate telemetry systems, ground control stations, and remote controllers.
- Ensure reliable data transmission between UAV and ground systems.
4. Testing and Flight Validation:
- Conduct ground testing including power system checks, sensor validation, and failsafe
testing.
- Support and execute flight tests to validate system performance and mission objectives.
- Analyze flight logs to identify issues and optimize system behavior.
5. Troubleshooting and Debugging:
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to integration, wiring, communication, and system
performance.
- Work closely with embedded, mechanical, and software teams to resolve cross-functional
issues.
- Maintain checklists and procedures for efficient debugging and validation.
6. Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare integration documentation including wiring diagrams, system architecture, and
configuration procedures.
- Maintain records of test results, flight logs, and system configurations.
- Ensure compliance with UAV safety and regulatory standards.
7. Innovation and Collaboration:
- Contribute to improving integration processes, system reliability, and assembly efficiency.
- Stay updated with advancements in UAV technologies, avionics, and communication
systems.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback from integration and testing
perspectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field.
Experience:
- 1–4 years of experience in UAV integration, robotics, or embedded systems.
- Hands-on experience with UAV assembly, configuration, and testing.
- Experience with VTOL or multirotor platforms is a plus.
Skills Required:
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with flight controllers such as Pixhawk, Cube, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Ground Control Software (e.g., Mission Planner, QGroundControl).
- Understanding of communication protocols: UART, CAN, SPI, I2C, MAVLink, SBUS.
- Knowledge of power systems including batteries, BMS, ESCs, and power distribution.
- Experience in log analysis and flight data interpretation.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems and sensor integration.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Hands-on approach with attention to detail and safety.
- Ability to work in fast-paced prototyping and testing environments.
